The Navier Stokes proof drama is good foreshadowing

The Navier Stokes proof drama is good foreshadowing for what happens / becomes important in the entire economy going forward: spotting opportunities, pointing models at them, and validating solutions faster than others.
In other words, the economy / knowledge discovery increasingly looks like quant trading / pod shops / HFs, where having a differentiated view of why an opportunity is valuable and/or realizing that an opportunity is valuable (and that it can be plausibly captured/exploited) faster than others is all that matters.
This is from a piece I wrote in October 2025 and I think it will continue to hold a lot of explanatory power.
Photo 1. This leaves us with a good corollary of what the most productive companies of the future may look like: a team of mini-CEOs, a pod shop of expert-generalists, etc. These would be teams of people with exceptional judgement across domains who can most effectively leverage AGI to identify the highest value opportunities/bottlenecks, construct an optimal portfolio of solutions/bets, and capture the value from an ever evolving set of economic inefficiencies. Once that process is systematized, we may have finally reached ASI.
