In forty-two hours of 1975 thinking-out-loud lectures, R. Buckminster Fuller starts from designedly ignorant birth: hungers force experiment, brain only coordinates special-case senses, and mind alone finds synergy, whole-system behavior no part predicts. Universe is the finite aggregate of experience; nature already uses continuous tension and discontinuous compression. Comprehensive anticipatory design science is the little individual's job: add artifacts, do more with less, refuse specialization as divide-and-conquer, and treat everything as important.

- Sections 1–2: designedly ignorant birth, mind, and tensegrity. Section 1 treats naked, helpless, ignorant birth as humanity's designed start, with hungers forcing trial-and-error; the twentieth-century chemical and travel burst was unplanned; brain only coordinates special-case senses, while mind discovers synergy, whole-system behavior no part predicts; Universe is the finite aggregate of humanity's consciously apprehended experience. Section 2 works as Bridgman's operational science: record the whole circumstance of observation; compression members never touch and only tension is continuous, which is how Universe holds together; technology is nature's technique; comprehensive anticipatory design science is the obligation to employ those principles.
- Sections 3–4: technology, pattern integrity, and the 1927 turn. Section 3: Universe is technology; leftover wartime copper produced energy slaves that do more with less; the spoken word is the first industrial tool; pattern integrity travels independently of its medium; specialization is a power-structure divide-and-conquer strategy, not a child's native comprehensivity. Section 4: rebuilt Dartmouth Hall and unchanged eyeglasses show identity as pattern, not cells; precession is the least sensed ecology of bodies in motion; water peoples learned tension catching compression under twenty-four-hour sea loads; in 1927 Fuller left earning a living to make man a success.
- Sections 5–7: geometry, inventory, and livingry. Section 5: thinking itself generates a tetrahedron, the minimum inside-outside system; vector equilibrium is twelve spheres around one; physics finds only waves, not straight lines; energy follows high-tension convex surfaces. Section 6: a comprehensivist can plunge in depth then return; already-mined copper is a scrap mine; the Dymaxion map is approximately distortion-free; geodesic least-resistance forms appear in nature; do not cheat a child of discovery. Section 7: closest packing is an isotropic vector matrix; A and B quanta modules rebuild geometry; architecture is still a craft of client shapes; commit artifacts to the unconditioned newborn and name life-support livingry against weaponry.
- Sections 8–10: start from the whole, never own the shop. Section 8: geometry begins with Universe and a sphere, not a Greek plane; trigonometry sizes geodesic chords; tensegrity, catalyzed by Ken Snelson's tetrahedron, is islanded compression in continuous tension. Section 9: after about twenty-six hours he backfills; know-how is off the books though it is the real commodity; building is the last non-mass-production industry; Marines assemble a magnesium dome in 135 man-minutes; be an agent of information. Section 10: a Depression sheriff's sale teaches him never to own tools; scrap copper cycles; the DDU grain-bin house and copper bathroom meet unions; Wichita House hits the 1927 three-ton figure then dies in the market; first large installations are Arctic DEW-line radomes.
- Sections 11–12: artifacts emergency will adopt, and everything is important. Section 11: love for obstreperous humanity; the fog gun cleans without soap; polyester radomes, Montreal's Expo 67 sphere, and tetrahedral floating cities are one geometry at different sizes; more than 100,000 geodesics exist because each first use was a case where nothing else would do; refuse any word without a clear experiential reference. Section 12: intuition is the twilight between subconscious and conscious; give fellowships to think rather than schoolhouses; the little individual adds artifacts until synergy reveals a principle; Nine Chains' 22 prognostications looked novel in 1938 and trite once they happened; everything is important.
